Siliguri, 22nd September: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) organized a day-night football tournament in Porajhar, under the initiative of the Dabgram-I Gram Panchayat. The event took place at the Porajhar Sarbasathi Sangha ground, marking the third year of this annual football competition.
The tournament was inaugurated by Sukanta Kar, President of the INTTUC workers’ union of Dabgram-Fulbari. A total of 16 teams, including those from the Dabgram-Fulbari constituency and from the district, participated in the competition. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to the winning and runner-up teams.
Several prominent figures, including Monisha Roy, Jalpaiguri District Council member, and Anand Sinha, Upa-Pradhan of Dabgram-I Gram Panchayat, were present at the event.
