Siliguri, 16th November: West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose reacted to Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee’s controversial comment while speaking to the media at Bagdogra Airport on Saturday. The governor, who arrived in Siliguri to attend a job fair, said he is in no hurry and does not rely on political leaders’ reactions.
He added that questions are being raised about the richness and legitimacy of the Constitution, and the MP should admit his mistake before such issues arise. Otherwise, action will be taken.
On the Madhya Pradesh higher education minister’s remark calling Raja Rammohan Roy a British agent and a fake social reformer, the governor said that history should be interpreted by historians, not political leaders.
