Siliguri, 24th June: The Trinamool Congress of Dabgram-Fulbari block lodged a written complaint against BJP MLA Shikha Chatterjee at the NJP police station on Thursday, for making provocative remarks demanding a separate state for North Bengal. Besides, protests were staged in front of the police station on behalf of the organization.
The members of the organization said that several political parties have raised their voices demanding North Bengal to be made a separate state. They alleged that several other MLAs, including Chatterjee, are trying to ‘disrupt peace in North Bengal’ by making such provocative remarks.
They asserted that the ruling party Trinamool Congress will not allow such unrest in Bengal. Hence, a complaint was lodged at the police station demanding the arrest of Shikha Chatterjee.
