TMC leader Jaideep Nandi leaves party and joins BJP

Siliguri, 18th January: Trinamool Congress leader Jaideep Nandi has joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party. The BJP Siliguri Organizational District President Praveen Agarwal handed him the party flag and welcomed him to the party in a program at the BJP Party office Jayamuni Bhawan, today.


It was reported that Jaideep Nandi, a former Councillor of Ward No. 35, had been keeping a distance from his party, for some time. Earlier, a rumor had also spread stating that he would be changing the party.

On this occasion, the BJP Siliguri Organizational District President Praveen Agarwal stated that Nandi had joined BJP as he was fed up with TMC’s wrongdoings. Nandi alleged TMC of being plagued with corruption and factionalism. He further stated that Trinamool Congress came to power in the State by promising many things to the common people, but after coming to power, TMC forgot all its promises.
