Siliguri, 17th August: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) held a protest march in Siliguri on Saturday, demanding strict punishment, including the death penalty, for those involved in the R.G. Kar incident. The march was organized following instructions from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The event was led by the Trinamool Congress Committee of Ward No. 13, with Darjeeling District TMC President Papiya Ghosh, Ward No. 13 Councillor Manik Dey, and other party workers and supporters participating.
The procession covered various parts of the city, with similar rallies taking place across all wards in Siliguri. The demonstration highlighted the party’s call for swift justice in the case.
