Siliguri, 21st February: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) party briefed the media through a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists’ Club regarding the party’s work of forming the committee by electing the new president of ‘Jai Hind Bahini’ in the districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
According to reports, on Wednesday, Kamal Goyal, in charge of the Darjeeling Parliamentary Constituency of ‘Jai Hind Bahini’, and Shanta Chhetri, president of the Darjeeling Mahila Trinamool Congress, conducted a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists’ Club.
In this regard, Shanta Chhetri stated that despite being launched in 2014, the ‘Jai Hind Bahini’ was not fully functional. However, the ‘Jai Hind Bahini’ will now actively promote Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s welfare activities and programmes among the residents of the hills.
