Rajganj, 10th June: Following the upcoming panchayat election, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) party held a meeting today in the Hari Mandir Hall in Belakoba. In this regard, it was decided that the party will submit nomination papers in Rajganj from next Monday.
The meeting witnessed the presence of Rajganj MLA, Khageshwar Roy, Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad Chairperson, Uttara Barman, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President, Poornima Roy, Trinamool Block President, Arindam Banerjee and other leaders of the block of TMC.
Speaking after the meeting, TMC’s Block President, Arindam Banerjee said that, there are 178 Gram Panchayat, 24 Panchayat Samiti, and three Zilla Parishad seats in Rajganj assembly constituency, and the Candidates for the seats have been selected through the Navjoar program, following instructions from the All India General Secretary of Trinamool Congress.
Additionally, he stated that candidates from Sukhani, Shikarpur, and Mantadari Gram Panchayat will submit nominations on Monday. While, Binnaguri and Sanyasikata Gram Panchayat’s on Tuesday, and Panikauri, Majhiyali and Kukurjan Gram Panchayat’s on Wednesday.
