Siliguri, 20th March: Allegations have surfaced that Trinamool Congress flags and banners were torn in various parts of Siliguri. In connection with the incident, the Darjeeling district unit of the Trinamool Youth Congress (TMYC) lodged a written complaint at the police station on Friday.
According to the student wing, party flags and banners are being torn at night across different areas of the city by taking advantage of darkness. They have directly accused the BJP of being behind the incidents, alleging that such acts are being carried out out of fear of defeat in the upcoming elections.
However, the BJP has denied the allegations. The Trinamool Youth Congress also stated that they will respond to the issue politically in the coming days.
