Rajganj, 12th October: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) of Chakiabhita booth, under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj, undertook a commendable initiative and distributed new garments among 200 women in need ahead of Durga Puja.
According to reports, the initiative was led by Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy as part of a program at the grounds of the Shakti Sopan Club in Ambari. The event was witnessed by TMC block President Arindam Banerjee, TMYC President Tushar Kanti Dutta, TMC leader Vijay Das and members of the local Panchayat.
In this regard, MLA Roy claimed that the TMC had been handing out clothing in the said area for almost ten years and was once again invited to the event. He further emphasized spreading festive fervor with the distribution before the pujas.
