Siliguri, 09th August: Trinamool Congress (TMC) has established a huge lead in the panchayat polls. On Wednesday, TMC activists celebrated its victory following the board formation of the Fulbari-I Gram Panchayat.
TMC reportedly won 24 out of 30 seats in the Fulbari-I Gram Panchayat in 2023 over its nearest rival the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which captured 6 seats. Additionally, TMC won 3 seats in the Panchayat Samiti and the party formed the board in the said area with single majority votes. Sunita Roy was designated as the Pradhan of Fulbari-I Gram Panchayat while Anand Sinha has been appointed as the Upa-Pradhan.
On Wednesday, Rajganj’s BYO Tuhin Mukherjee recounted his oath. Following the oath-taking ceremony, TMC activists of the block gathered and rejoiced the victorious win of the party in the Panchayat Elections 2023.
