Jalpaiguri, 04th April: Amid the election atmosphere in Jalpaiguri, Trinamool Congress candidate Krishna Das filed his nomination after a grand show of strength with a massive rally.
On Saturday, before submitting his nomination papers, a large rally was organised in the city. Party workers and supporters first gathered at Netaji Modern Club ground, following which a grand procession with drums, slogans and enthusiasm moved through the city.
The rally passed through several major routes of the city and reached PWD More. From there, Krishna Das proceeded to the District Magistrate’s office, where he officially filed his nomination papers.
Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Das said that he feels blessed by the overwhelming support and blessings he is receiving from the people, and expressed confidence that this support will translate into victory. He added that winning is now only a matter of time.
