TMC accused of hindering voting process in Dinhata

Cooch Behar, 30th October: Polling began at 7 am on Saturday for by-elections to four assembly constituencies in West Bengal – Dinhata, Shantipur in Nadia, Khardah in North 24 Parganas and Gosaba in South 24 Parganas districts.

As soon as the voting started in Dinhata this morning, a dispute between BJP-TMC broke out at the polling centre. BJP candidate Ashok Mandal, who reached the polling booth to vote in Dinhata High School, got into an argument with the Trinamool workers.

Trinamool has been accused of obstructing the BJP candidate and his family members from voting. However, the Trinamool Congress has denied all the allegations. Trinamool has on the contrary alleged that BJP candidates and their supporters are trying to obstruct peaceful voting in the constituency.
