Phansidewa, 27th June: In a major breakthrough, the Bidhannagar Police Investigation Centre arrested three youths with 30 kilograms of cannabis in Phansidewa.
The officials from Bidhan Nagar and Ghoshpukur Outposts seized a four-wheeler in front of the Madati Toll Plaza in Phansidewa. Upon searching the car, the officials found 30 black plastics with wrapped-up cannabis worth lakhs.
Reportedly, the contraband was being smuggled from Cooch Behar to Bihar. The incident led to the subsequent arrest of the accused trio. On Thursday, the three were produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court.
