Siliguri, 29th July: In a recent development, the cops from Ashighar Outpost, under Bhakti Nagar police station, arrested three suspects who had gathered intending to commit a robbery. The arrested individuals have been identified as Govinda Sarkar, Nityanand Roy, and Jeevan Das.
According to reports, about a dozen people gathered under the Farukhati bridge, within the jurisdiction of Ashighar Outpost, late on Sunday night. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and apprehended three of the suspects.
The arrested individuals were presented in Jalpaiguri court on Monday. At present, the police are conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.
