Siliguri, 23rd November: Three minors who went missing mysteriously from Siliguri have returned home safely after four days, bringing smiles back to their families and relief to the administration.
According to sources, Priyanka Roy and Monika Sarkar, both seventh-grade students, and Deepika Roy, an eighth-grade student, residents of Panchanan Colony under Ward No. 01, had left home last Wednesday with some money to celebrate a birthday. When they did not return home by late night, their families began searching for them. After failing to locate them, a written complaint was filed at Pradhan Nagar police station.
On Saturday night, Priyanka Roy’s maternal aunt, Pinky Das, called the family to inform them that all three minors were at NJP Railway Station. The family, along with Pradhan Nagar police, reached the station and safely rescued the three minors.
Sources revealed that Pinky Das had taken the three girls to Howrah and later returned them to NJP Railway Station. The reason for taking them to Howrah without informing the families is still unclear.
The incident has raised several questions, and the Pradhan Nagar police have launched a detailed investigation into the matter.
