Siliguri, 29th January: Bhakti Nagar police arrested three miscreants with a country-made pistol before they could commit a crime. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Muzaffar Alam, Deepak Paswan, and Sandip Diyali.
According to police sources, late Tuesday night, officers on patrol spotted a group of people in a field in Ward No. 41 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC). Upon seeing the police van, the individuals attempted to flee.
The police chased them down and apprehended three suspects. Upon searching them, officers recovered a country-made pistol and ammunition. All three were immediately taken into custody.
On Wednesday, the accused were presented before the Jalpaiguri court.
