Malda, 04th June: Sensation prevailed after three people lost their lives in the thunderstorm and lightning that struck several parts of the Malda district on Thursday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Mithu Karmakar (33), Pinu Oraon (57), and Sultan Ahmed (23).
As per the information, Mithu Karmakar, a resident of the Harischandrapur block-1 Baroduari South Ramnagar area and Sultan Ahmed, a resident of Narayanpur village, were working on a field when the tragic incident occurred.
On the other hand, Pinu Oraon, a resident of Baisa village was in a nearby mango orchard. Another 22-year-old youth named Krishna Saha (22) was injured in the incident.
