Siliguri, 03rd December: A team of Detective Department arrested three persons with a pistol and nine rounds of live cartridges. The accused have been identified as Rakesh Chawla, Amit Sharma and Mithun Barman. All are said to be residents of Siliguri.
Reportedly, the DD, acting on a tip-off, launched an operation in the area adjoining Junction and arrested the said three persons with the firearms. Apart from this, Rs 3 lakh in cash and 4 mobile phones were also recovered from them. A case has been registered under the Arms Act and the trio was presented in the Siliguri court today.
