Siliguri, 20th January: The Siliguri Police arrested three individuals along with a large quantity of banned cough syrup. The arrested individuals have been identified as Amal Das, Prabhat Mandal, and Sohail Rana Sheikh. All the 3 accused arrested are the drivers and associate drivers of a bus.
The Police have also seized a bus in connection with the incident. According to the information received from the Siliguri Police station, a bus, traveling from Malda to Siliguri, was searched at Air View More, last night. During the search, 5000 bottles of banned cough syrup were recovered from the bus.
The value of the seized item has been estimated to be lakhs of rupees. Three people, including the driver of the bus, have been arrested in connection with the incident. All the accused arrested were presented in the Siliguri Court, today.
