Cooch Behar, 13th January: Based on a tip-off, the Pundibari Police recovered 120 liters of adulterated milk by conducting an operation in the Kharija Kakribari area of Khagrabari Zone of Cooch Behar-2 block. The Police have arrested three people in connection with the incident. The arrested individuals have been identified as Amit Ghosh, Shankar Ghosh and Abhijit Ghosh, residents of Guriahati.
According to sources, 10 kgs of adulterated milk was being prepared by mixing milk powder and chemicals with 1 kg of pure milk at a rented house in the Kharija Kakribari area of Khagrabari Zone of Cooch Behar-2 block. The milk was then transported to different areas of Cooch Behar. The milk was also sold in various stores. Upon receiving the news of the incident, the Police launched an investigation and arrested the three individuals.
