Siliguri, 30th January: In a recent development, three individuals have been arrested on charges of stealing oil from a cargo truck parked on the National Highway (NH) 31 adjacent to Goaltuli More in Phansidewa. The arrested accused have been identified as Bikramlal Phuleria, Pitulal Phuleria, and Julal Phuleria, all residents of Madhya Pradesh.
As per details received, acting on a tip-off, Phansidewa police retrieved a four-wheeler. Upon initiating a search, several items including diesel, pipes, and oil drums were recovered. Subsequently, all three accused were arrested on charges of theft.
On Tuesday, the accused were produced before the Siliguri Divisional Court. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
