Sonada, 10th April: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) Binay faction general secretary Anit Thapa stated that the 2021 assembly election is not just about voting for the party’s candidates but an opportunity to vote for the better future of the Darjeeling Hills.
Addressing a staff meeting of the GJM’s Sonada Pacheng constituency Anit Thapa said that this vote will be for the employment of educated youths and for land leases.
Taking a jibe at BJP for inviting Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath to participate in the recent public meeting in Kurseong, Thapa said that the arrival of leaders like Yogi Adityanath to hold an election rally in Kurseong is a clear indication that the town has given birth to a leader who is capable of giving a tough fight to heavyweight leaders like the CM.
