Phansidewa, 31st December: Thieves looted three temples consecutively in Banik Jote of Jalas-nijamtara village under Phansidewa block.
Out of the three, one of the temples was of a house in the said village. The matter came to light this morning when the members of the house woke up and found the door of the temple open. On looking, gold and silver ornaments along with brass pots and other items were missing from the temple.
Residents of the area alleged that such an incident has never happened in the area before. They worried for their safety and demanded the administration give stringent punishment to the accused. On the other hand, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the Phansidewa police reached the spot and started investigating the entire incident.
