Thieves cut through ceiling to steal jewelry in Siliguri shop

Siliguri, 20th January: In a daring robbery, thieves broke into a gold jewelry shop in Siliguri by cutting through the roof. The culprits accessed the store by slicing through the ceiling and made off with gold and silver jewelry as well as cash.


The incident took place near Bani Mandir School on Old Matigara Road, under Ward 1 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. The shop owner discovered the theft when he arrived to open the shop this morning. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, it was revealed that the thieves entered by cutting through the ceiling and then fled after looting the valuables.

The shop owner reported that gold and silver ornaments, along with cash, were stolen. The shocking incident has sent waves of panic through the local community.


Following the robbery, the police from Pradhan Nagar police station quickly arrived at the scene. The officials are now actively searching for the culprits, launching an investigation into the theft.
