Thief arrested on charges of stealing from BSF camp Siliguri’s Salugara

Siliguri, 20th November: A thief was arrested on Tuesday for stealing from the BSF (Border Security Force) camp in Salugara, where a series of thefts had been reported in recent days. The stolen items included water taps, electrical wires, and various other materials. The thief has been identified as Rakesh Mistry.


The BSF authorities filed a written complaint with the Bhakti Nagar Police Station, leading to an investigation. Acting on the complaint, the police tracked down and apprehended the thief, during a theft attempt at the camp.

Reportedly, Rakesh Mistry was caught red-handed while attempting to steal again. The police recovered the stolen goods from his possession. Later, he was presented before the Jalpaiguri court. The Bhakti Nagar police are continuing to investigate the case.
