Siliguri, 04th July: A shocking incident of theft occurred at a shopping mall in Matigara, Siliguri, where miscreants managed to escape with valuable items worth lakhs of rupees after breaking the windows of parked vehicles. This incident has raised concerns about the effectiveness of the parking security system, despite the presence of paid parking facilities.
According to reports, on Monday evening, unidentified individuals targeted vehicles parked outside a well-known mall in Siliguri, stealing valuable items such as laptops and cameras by smashing the window glasses. Matigara police station was immediately alerted, and an investigation was launched. CCTV footage obtained from the scene revealed an image of a masked suspect.
Sharing his account, Sahil Jamal, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, mentioned that he had visited Siliguri with his family. On Monday evening, they went to the mall in Matigara for shopping, parking their vehicle in the designated parking area. However, upon their return from shopping, they were dismayed to find that the windows of several vehicles, including their own, had been shattered and their valuables were missing.
The mall’s security personnel seemed clueless about the incident when questioned, casting doubt on the effectiveness of the security measures in place. This incident has raised serious concerns regarding the security system’s capability to safeguard parked vehicles and prevent such thefts.
That is because govt of Wb is allowing to many Bangladeshi and rohingiya. There is a area near mall called chota Pakistan, breeding ground of crime, drugs and what not. Near the railway line. Which is serious concern for our defence as well. Matigara police do nothing, mothers of that area were crying in front of me, explaining there odreal that their doughter are getting disappeared and sons are into drugs and police do nothing.
