Kharibari, 11th August: Sensation prevailed after theft took place in Kali Mandir in Sabuj Sangh Club adjacent to Kharibari Market.
According to reports, this morning, when the temple priests came for their routine rituals, they found that the silver crown and gold ornaments of the Goddess Kali were missing. Subsequently, the administrators of the club and temple committee members arrived at the scene. Kharibari police also promptly reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
It is to be noted that theft incidents have been taking place in various temples in the Kharibari area for several months. At present, the Kharibari police are engaged in ascertaining the suspects behind the incident.
