Fulbari, 18th November: Miscreants took advantage of a vacant house in Purba Dhantala, Fulbari II Gram Panchayat, adjacent to Siliguri, and made off with gold ornaments and cash worth several thousand rupees.
Reportedly, Pompi Saha, a resident of Fulbari, left her house on Friday with her family to visit her father’s home near NJP. When they returned on Monday morning, they found the house vandalized and the theft discovered.
Pompi Saha stated that gold ornaments and several thousand rupees in cash had been stolen from the house. Following the incident, she lodged a written complaint at the NJP police station.
Police have initiated an investigation into the theft and are working to trace the culprits.
