Siliguri, 09th February: A shocking theft at a local temple in the Michael Madhusudan Colony, part of the Fulbari-I Gram Panchayat area, has left the community in disbelief. The crime took place in broad daylight, sparking alarm among residents.
According to reports, two temples are located nearby. The Radha Gobinda Temple was the victim of a theft, which involved approximately ₹15,000 in cash, a gas cylinder, and important temple documents. However, no theft was reported at the other temple. The local authorities were informed of the incident, and the NJP police arrived at the scene to investigate.
Members of the temple committee mentioned that the prayer session at the Radha Gobinda Temple had ended on February 6, and the temple’s financial records were yet to be handed over. They suspect that the theft was carried out possibly by someone with prior knowledge of the temple’s operations. The police have begun their investigation into the matter.
