Siliguri, 10th December: An incident of theft was reported from the house of the late Krishna Chandra Pal, ex-councillor of Ward No. 23 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Reportedly, gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees have been stolen from his house in Dabgram. The police are engaged in an investigation and have taken the house’s two maids and driver in custody for questioning.
As per the report, Roopa Devi, wife of Pal and her family were busy with their son’s wedding for the last few days. The incident came to light on December 4. A complaint has been lodged at the police station regarding it. On the basis of the complaint, the police have started investigating the incident.
