Siliguri, 22nd January: State Panchayat and Village Development Minister Subrata Mukherjee made a striking Anti-CAA comment during the inaugural function of the 3rd Saras Mela at Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri. “The people of the country will never accept the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA),” Mukherjee said.
Addressing the media, he stated that 90% of the population including the students, youth, workers and all opposition parties are against CAA. At the same time, he also said that the demonstrations will continue until the central government changes its mind.
