Siliguri, 04th January: The temporary security staff of Siliguri Government Polytechnic College have joined the strike in support of several demands, including due salaries since January 1.
Today marked the third day of the strike. The protestors involved in the strike said that even after meeting the principal of the college, none of their demands, including arrears of salary, have been accepted. Thye further added that the protest will continue until their demands for arrears of salary are met.
Despite the stir caused by continuous protests and strikes against the college management by the employees of other departments and temporary security staff, the college classes continue.
