Siliguri, 05th September: The birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was celebrated on behalf of Trinamool Youth Congress, Ward No. 31 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation at Saktigarh School More, today. Goutam Deb, Chairman of the Board of Administrators of Siliguri Municipal Corporation was present on the occasion.
The day was celebrated by cutting cakes and handing over saplings to teachers. Goutam Deb planted two jackfruit saplings in the premises of Saktigarh Vidyapith High School.
Addressing the gathering, Deb said that the day is celebrated to commemorate Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President and the second President of India. of the country and celebrated as Teacher’s Day. Deb extended his greetings to all the teachers.
