Rajganj, 30th March: A shocking incident unfolded at Jumagachh BFP Primary School in Sannyasikata Gram Panchayat, Rajganj block, where a second grade student was allegedly kicked by a teacher for asking for a biscuit. The incident reportedly occurred last Saturday.
The student was hurt and returned home. His mother later visited the school but could not find the teacher. On Monday, the child’s father went to the school to inquire about the incident and was allegedly kicked by the same teacher. The teacher then reportedly locked the father at the classroom gate. Locals rushed to the school upon hearing the news and restrained the teacher.
Police arrived at the scene, but the teacher allegedly became aggressive toward them as well and was subsequently taken to Rajganj Police Station.
The school head master stated that the teacher is not mentally well and has been undergoing treatment in another state for a long time. Questions are now being raised about how the teacher continued teaching at the school despite his condition.
