Siliguri, 22nd July: Tea garden workers from Bhoj Narayan Tea Estate staged a protest in front of the owner’s residence in Siliguri, demanding payment of pending Provident Fund (PF) and bonus.
According to reports, workers have been deprived of their PF and bonus funds for an extended period. Despite attempts to communicate with the owner, no resolution has been reached. In response, nearly 100 tea garden workers gathered outside the owner’s residence on Monday warning the shutting down of the tea garden if their dues are not settled promptly.
A present, authorities are monitoring the situation closely to prevent any escalation of tensions between the workers and the management.
