Islampur, 12th May: Sensation prevailed after the TN Chowdhury Tea factory located at the Bijbari area under Islampur police station was robbed last night amid the ongoing lockdown.
As per the reports, the Manager’s son, while trying to save his father from the dacoits, was shot at and has been severely injured. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Siliguri.
Shubhankar Chowdhury, the Board of Directors of the tea factory, stated that a gang of miscreants robbed the factory last night and fled away with a large amount of valuables. The office cupboard was found broken and several precious jewelries, mobile phones, ATM cards, and other valuables were missing from the Manager’s room.
