Jalpaiguri, 11th April: On Saturday, the Task Force officials of the Health Department inspected the newly built COVID-19 Hospital in the Jalpaiguri Biswa Bangla Krirangan. The experts from Siliguri minutely checked the infrastructure of the Hospital. Dr. Dipankar Bandopadhyay and Dr. Gopal Krishna Dhali went on an inspection along with Dr. Sushanta Roy, District Chief Health Officer Dr. Ramendranath Pramanik and Superintendent of Sadar Hospital Dr. Gayaram Naskar.
Dr. Gopal Krishna Dali stated that the health workers in the district will be trained to collect swabs of the suspected COVID-19 patients. He further alleged that the government has not provided them sufficient PPE kits.
As per the report, the hospital has been built in two separate blocks of the Jalpaiguri Biswa Bangla Krirangan. AC’s and fans have already been set up in Block –A. Medical facilities like dialysis and ventilation will be available in the newly built hospital. Primarily, a 100-bed isolation ward will be set up inside the hospital.
