Rajganj, 03rd November: During a COVID-19 related meeting, the task force committee at Rajganj Gramin Hospital on Tuesday decided that Rapid Antigen Test camps will be conducted in the populated areas of every gram panchayat under Rajganj block.
According to the Rajganj Block Health Department, 53 RAT camps have been carried out in Rajganj Block until Tuesday. 8200 swab samples were taken out of which 191 came back positive.
After the meeting, President Uttara Barman said that as no one wills to turn up at RAT Camps, a meeting was held with the members of the Covid-19 Task Force Committee to tackle the issue. In conclusion, it was decided that the gram panchayat pradhans should take initiative to spread awareness in the entire area so that more people turn up to get tested for the virus.
The meeting was attended by Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy, Panchayat Samiti President Purnima Roy, BDO NC Sherpa, BMOH Shubhadeep Sarkar, Gram Panchayat Pradhan, and members of the task force committee.
