Siliguri, 07th October: Tarpaulin was distributed among the residents of Ward No. 11 and 12 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation under the initiative of Bharatiya Janata Party Siliguri Organizational District No. 07 Mandal.
It has been learned that the houses of many people in the area were damaged following heavy rainfall during the monsoon. When the MLA was informed about this problem, the tarpaulin distribution programme was initiated from the MLA’s relief fund. BJP leader Nantu Paul handed over tarpaulin to the affected residents in front of his office.
Nantu Paul said that tarpaulins were handed over to 15 people today. More such initiatives will be taken in the coming days. Besides, the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was promoted today.
