Jalpaiguri, 03rd April: A chemical-laden tanker collided with a stationary coal-laden truck near Jalpaiguri Engineering College on National Highway 27. The driver of the tanker narrowly escaped with his life.
According to local sources, the truck was stopped at a traffic signal when the tanker rammed into its rear. The impact caused the tanker’s front wheel to burst, triggering the accident.
The incident led to heavy traffic congestion on NH 27 for several hours. Police later arrived at the scene and restored normal traffic flow.
