Siliguri, 04th September: On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Arya Samiti, a state-level table tennis competition was organized at the hall of the Samiti. The tournament was inaugurated by Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb. The event also witnessed the presence of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) Chairman Pratul Chakraborty, including other dignitaries.
As per reports, the tournament commenced on Monday and will continue till September 8. Approximately 450 players from different districts of the state will participate in the competition. The organizers of the competition believed that new talents would emerge in the five-day event.
