Phansidewa, 08th May: The thrilling finale of the T-20 Women’s National Triangular Championship for blind women unfolded at Bidhannagar Murliganj High School in Phansidewa, supported by the Cricket Association for the Blind of Bengal (CABB) and Bhimbar (Snehashram) Blind School.
In a display of exceptional sportsmanship, the final match featured teams from Jharkhand and Bengal. Despite their visual impairments, the players exhibited remarkable enthusiasm and skill throughout the game. Encouraging their efforts, policeman and social worker Bapan Das graced the event to inspire the players.
Simultaneously, on the occasion of World Thalassemia Day, a blood donation camp was organized. Numerous individuals selflessly donated blood, contributing to the noble cause. Esteemed personalities such as Padmashree Karimul Haque, Murliganj High School Principal Shamsul Alam, Bhimbar (Snehashram) Blind School Principal Ashish Sarkar, and others graced the event with their presence. The event successfully merged the spirit of sportsmanship and the spirit of humanity, emphasizing inclusivity and the power of selfless acts for a greater cause.
