Siliguri, 14th April: Recently the State Government announced that sweet shops can remain open between 12 pm to 4 pm. Ignoring the government guidelines, various sweet shops in College Para and Subhash Pally were spotted operating before noon.
Upon receiving the news, the Siliguri Police reached the spot and decreed the shopkeepers to shut down their respective shops immediately.
The police then raised awareness among the tradesmen regarding the government order.
