The leader of opposition in the West Bengal Assembly and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari claimed that he has filed an FIR against Chief Minister (CM) Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress (TMC) National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee over their call to gherao the residences of BJP leaders across the state.
It is to be noted that earlier, on Friday, while addressing the TMC’s Martyrs’ Day rally, Abhishek Banerjee had urged party workers to undertake the said action of “gherao” of BJP leaders’ residences throughout the state on August 05.
The BJP leader stated that the said call might pose as a threat to the security of the party leaders and workers in the state.
