Suspension bridge at Gajoldoba nearing completion, likely to be inaugurated by CM

Gajoldoba, 05th December: The construction work of the suspension bridge at Gajoldoba, aesthetically similar to Sydney Harbor Bridge, is nearing completion. The bridge built to welcome tourists in ‘Bhorer Alo’ is likely to be inaugurated by CM Mamata Banerjee soon.


According to reports, the bridge is being constructed with a special focus on tourists and is a dream project of the CM. The works for the beautification of the mega tourist center in ‘Bhorer Alo’ are currently underway on the banks of the Teesta River at Gajoldoba under the Rajganj block of Jalpaiguri. The project also comprises cottage homes and boating facilities. To add to the glamour of the tourist destination, the government had taken the initiative to build a suspension bridge at Gajoldoba.

Currently, the work is nearing completion with painting works of the bridge almost complete. The bridge will connect the two banks of the Teesta Canal flowing near ‘Bhorer Alo’. The development is creating significant hype among tourists.
