Siliguri, 17th December: After Suvendu Adhikari resigned from the All India Trinamool Congress, the supporters of Adhikari also submitted their resignation from the party.
Dipankar Arora, general secretary of the former committee, announced his exit after holding a press conference today. He said that the resignation letter will be sent to the district president and other leaders.
Meanwhile, he expressed outrage over a few members of the party. Without mentioning names, he said that the party could not come to power in Siliguri due to corruption carried out by them. Besides, he also claimed that many more are likely to leave the party soon. However, they are not coming forward at the moment for various reasons.
On the other hand, Trinamool district president Ranjan Sarkar was reluctant to make any comments concerning Dipankar Arora’s resignation. He said that Arora is not a political activist of the party and is only a supporter. He left TMC before and will definitely return once again.
