SUCI’s 12-hour Bengal strike over R.G. Kar incident observed in Siliguri

Siliguri, 16th August: The Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) has called for a 12-hour Bengal strike in protest against the recent incident at RG Kar Medical College. The protest is in response to the incident of rape, murder, of a woman doctor and the subsequent vandalism that occurred on Wednesday night.

In Siliguri, supporters of the strike took to the streets early on Friday, organizing rallies and urging traders to shut down their businesses in solidarity. Several processions were seen moving through different parts of the city, including local markets, where the activists appealed to shopkeepers to observe the bandh.
