Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim likely to receive heavy rainfall

News Desk: A low-pressure area that has formed in the Bay of Bengal has now moved inland. The system is likely to move further northwards closer to Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim regions.


As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rainfall is likely to be seen between September 20 and 24. Cities in Sub Himalayan West Bengal including Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kurseong, Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, and Cooch Behar may receive heavy rains. In addition, Gangtok, Lachen, Pelling, Namchi, Geyzing, and Lachung are also expected to receive heavy rainfall.
