Siliguri, 07th July: The Students Society of Siliguri, on Wednesday, handed over a 6-point memorandum to the Darjeeling DM.
The members of the organization said that educational institutions are closed for almost two years due to the ongoing pandemic. Even though online classes are being carried out at present, students, as well as guardians, often have to face various problems. Many are not able to take online classes due to a lack of proper infrastructure. As a result, students are lacking behind in their academics.
Hence, the organization handed over a memorandum to the DM of Darjeeling district in support of various demands including reopening of schools following safety measures.
