Siliguri, 26th July: Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed on Monday on behalf of the Student Society of Siliguri. The day was observed in front of Baghajatin Park in Siliguri. The members of the Students Society of Siliguri paid homage to the martyred soldiers of the Kargil war.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is commemorated every 26th July in India, to observe India’s victory over Pakistan in the War of 1999 for the liberation of sections of Kargil District in Ladakh from Pakistanis on 26th of July. On this date, India successfully took command of the high outposts.
